ABOUT THIS DOCUMENT
This is an application for exemption from stamp duty on Transfer of a Family Property to a
Family Investment Company whose shareholding is by members of the same family.
It comprises of an application letter and an affidavit.
REQUIREMENTS
• Name and address of the Family Company.
• Certified copy of the title document.
• Official search for the property.
• Company search – form CR12.
• Certified copies of birth certificates, IDs, PINs (and marriage certificate of spouse
shareholders) for all the Shareholders of the company.
PROCEDURE
• Fill in and sign this application.
• Swear the affidavit before a Commissioner for oaths, Notary Public, Magistrate or Consular
officer.
• Submit the application letter, the affidavit and signed Transfer (Form 33 or 63 in triplicate)
to the collector of stamp duty for exemption.
